Salary is commensurate with experience. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred. Must have worked in concessions or intercollegiate athletics at the NCAA Division I level. Knowledge of athletic administration. Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others. Effective written, oral and communication skills. Description:   Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Conference Services.

Primary Job Duties: Responsible for handling all aspects of Salisbury University’s summer conference programs as well as fee based conferences during the academic year; supervise and support facilities reservations staff in scheduling all meeting and program space on campus; negotiate with customers on costs, terms and conditions of conferences; develop contracts and ensure all services requested are delivered according to agreement; coordinate with other University departments to ensure the necessary support facilities and services are available as required; process all contract changes, additions or cancellations as they occur; bill conference groups in an accurate and timely manner; develop and maintain cost analysis and prepare financial reports; other duties as assigned.

Excellent planning, coordinating, organizational, decision-making, leadership, negotiating, interpersonal, customer service, and oral & written communication skills with the ability to prioritize work; requires a high level of independence and creative problem solving with the ability to influence others and work collaboratively; strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and calendar management systems.
